Contempic School of Ballet, located in Westminster, MD is a multifacited school focusing on classical ballet training with a contemporary ballet edge.  We believe that a well rounded dancer is a successful dancer.  Dancers will be exposed to multiple types of dance disciplines in addition to their weekly ballet schedules. All of our classes follow an age appropriate curriculum built to instill proper strength, agility, technique, self esteem and socialization skills.  At Contempic School of Ballet our students success is our success.  We strive to see our students happy and successful.

Owner and Director of Contempic School of Ballet and Artistic Director of CONTEMPIC,  Allison is a graduate of The University of the Arts where she received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance/Ballet Performance.  
Her training began  under the tutelage of Gwen Owens at London School of Dance.  After relocating to the East Coast, she continued her training at Hanover School of Ballet.
 During her time at UARTS, she performed in works by Christine Cox, Anastasia Babayeva and Zane Booker as well as choreographed and set several works perfomed at the Drake Theater.
Allison has studied at summer programs with Nashville Ballet, Ballet Theatre of Maryland and BalletX.  In conjunction with her studies at BalletX, she also was an intern, helping the directors with company affairs.  She has performed professionally with JohnC Art Ballet and was a guest performer with Montage Dance Theater. 
Over her teaching career thus far, Allison has held the position of Preschool Dance Program Director,  Dance Program Director, Coordinator of  Dance Program and holds a certification as a Module one ACROBATIC Arts  instructor. 
Allison's students have been accepted to  prestigious summer programs including Louisville Ballet and the Rock School as well as Collegiate Dance Programs.
She has taught dance to students of all ages including adults in Tennessee, Georgia, California, Maryland and Pennsylvania.

Dance has been apart of Mallory’s life for over 15 years! She has recently graduated from Eastern University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Dance. Before college, Mallory studied Ballet at the Frederick School of Classical Ballet under the direction of Joyce Morrison. There she performed countless times in various roles of the Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty.  While at Eastern, Mallory studied many forms of dance including Ballet, Graham based Modern, Umfundalai, and Jazz. During her 3 years, she performed  in many works as well as choreographed pieces for the Eastern’s McInnis Theater. Mallory has found her love for teaching and can not wait to help her students grow in their love for dance!​​

Deborah Pardoe’s passion for ballet has kept her in the dance scene since she was a little girl.  She received her early training at the Maryland Youth Ballet under the directorship of Hortensia Fonseca.  As a young adult, she continued her training at the Peabody Conservatory and performed with the Mt. Vernon Ballet Company, while operating and teaching at her own dance studio in Fallston, Maryland.  Deborah has over 30 years of experience teaching ballet and pointe to all ages and levels.  Ms. Pardoe holds an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, and certificates in Elementary and Intermediate levels of the Vaganova syllabus.  She is active in continuing her dance education as she attends workshops with world renowned teachers such as Finis Jhung, Lisa Howell, Scott Putman (EBAS), and Judy Rice.  Deborah uses a systematic approach to build safe and proper technique and alignment with classes that encourage dancing with the entire body.

Gale Barnett
Natalie began gymnastics and cheerleading at the age of 4, and transitioned into competitive dance at age 8. She trained full time in North Carolina in a variety of styles including Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap, Ballet and Pointe. Through this, she was given the opportunity to train with professionals like Jason Parsons, Jason Janas and Delia Neil. She began student teaching and costume design by 13, assisting with many award winning numbers. While competing, Natalie earned several titles, including being named the 2007 North Carolina State Dance Champion as a senior. After graduation, she moved to Maryland where she began her teaching career working with ages 2 to adults. Her true passion is experimenting with choreography and costume design to tell a story. While she took some time off from teaching to join the corporate world and raise a family, Natalie is excited to continue sharing her love of dance at Contempic School of Ballet. 

Gale Barnett has been involved with different aspects of theater and dance for over 40 years.  Gale was an actress, singer, and dancer of the Pennyrile Players. She held the role of Liat in South Pacific and was in the productions of Bye Bye Birdie and Oklahoma to name a few.  While attending the University of Kentucky where she received her Bachelors in Political Science, Gale did costume design for the College Theater Department.  Once Gale received her Masters in Special Education from the University of Texas, she began working with children in Preschool and Sunday school programs as well as the local school district.  After relocating to Maryland, Gale continued to work with children in the local school district until her retirement.  
Gale continues her costume design experience to this day as the costume mistress at Contempic School of Ballet.  She loves teaching children and looks forward to working with the younger dancers of Music, Dance and Me!
